Yesterday my husband and I decided to go to the library and take Lil Pig with us. We knew she had never been there before, and thought she would enjoy it. It was a perfect day to go and we all had such a great time.
Here's Lil Pig jumping up on the back seat as we parked at the library. She was so excited! Look at how her ears are all perked up. She didn't know what to expect, but was certainly anxious to go inside.
Once we got in, Lil Pig quickly discovered there were many places to look for books, and she became a bit overhwelmed. We suggested she try one area first and then she could look at the books there. She chose the teen fiction section. I think she like how she could get to the bottom shelves without any trouble.
My husband and I were looking at the books ourselves, when we realized we couldn't find Lil Pig. As you well know, you can't go yelling for someone in the library. They'll kick you out! I started to get a little nervous that maybe someone had wooed her with the promise of good books and she might have wandered off. She is so small and could easily be stuck in the library forever. As it turns out, she wasn't far at all. She had managed to climb up the bookcase, and position herself inbetween the books like she was just another one to be checked out. When I spotted her I started to giggle, but my husband didn't see her until she jumped out in front of him. She sure does love startling him.
After a bit, Lil Pig found some books that she wanted to check out, but before we could do that she had found a nice cozy bench to sit on where she promptly opened the book and started to read. I love how her left ear hangs down a bit when she is deep in concentration. She is so cute!
All in all it was a really fun trip and Lil Pig is happily reading her books. She can't wait to go back to the library again and check out more books and see what else the library has to offer.
Lil Pig Likes to Color
Lil Pig enjoys coloring and had a good time picking the pages she wanted to color in my coloring books. I think she really liked it because she had a smile on her face the whole time.
Lil Pig did great with staying in the lines. She thought it was funny that Spongebob was sleeping with the pencil and that the pencil was so big.
I think Lil Pig liked coloring Odie the best. She loved how happy he was even though Garfield was shooting watermelon seeds on him. Overall she had a really fun time.

Lil Pig Has a Playdate!
The other day I took Lil Pig to meet my parents' dogs and have a playdate. We were all nervous about how that was going to work out since Lil Pig is so tiny and could easily be mistaken for a dog treat, but we kept a close eye on everyone and it turned out just fine.
Here are my parents' dogs. The tan one is Cocoa (boy) and the black one is Jellybean (girl-mostly called Jelly). Here they are waiting patiently to be introduced to Lil Pig. This was after a LONG time of barking and general ruckus.
After they calmed down, my little brother fed some treats to Jelly and Cocoa and Lil Pig definitely wanted in on that action. That is, until she found out that the treats were not so good.
Here's Cocoa meeting Lil Pig face to face. He didn't quite know what to do with her, so he mostly just scowled at her. Lil Pig thought it was funny.
Lil Pig really liked Jelly. Those two got along quite well. Here's Jelly meeting Lil Pig face to face. It's kind of hard to tell, but Lil Pig has the biggest smile on her face. She was so happy to meet the dogs and play with them. Now all we hear from her is how much she wants a pet. She's so funny!

Lil Pig Goes on a Road Trip
A few weeks ago Lil Pig went on a little road trip. It wasn't very far, just to church in a neighboring town, but she was quite excited nonetheless.
At first, she did very well buckled in her seatbelt in the back seat. Look how happy she is!
After a while, though, she started complaining about how she couldn't see anything. So my husband let her sit in the front. She was way too excited to sit on his lap and ended up bouncing around all over the front. I was driving, but I told her I would turn the car around if she didn't behave!
She settled down a bit and really enjoyed the scenery as we drove. It was a cold cloudy morning. We realized that Lil Pig didn't have a coat to wear, so we made sure the heat was on in the car so she would stay warm.
At one point, as my husband and I were looking at something in the distance, Lil Pig thought it would be funny to play a game of hide and seek. She usually likes to startle my husband, and apparently today in the car was no exception. She was hiding in the side door! She loved the snuggly fit and was nice and toasty next to the heater near the floor. My husband thought it was funny.
All through the trip Lil Pig kept asking if she could drive. I kept saying no, but on the way back I decided that she had been pretty good and let her hold onto the wheel while I drove. She loved that part the best and has since asked me, almost everyday, when she can have a car of her very own. Oh! What have I gotten myself into??

Lil Pig's in the Freezer!
Last year, when we got our chest freezer, Lil Pig was pretty excited about it. She was jumping around everywhere, all over the freezer, both inside and out. I just found these pictures on my computer. I had forgotten about taking these. It's just one more adventure Lil Pig has gone on.
Here she is on top of the freezer right after the guys brought it in and turned it on.
We had to let the freezer run for a bit so it could get nice and cold. My husband went in to go check on it at one point and found Lil Pig in the basket! She sure is sneaky! We had no idea she crawled in there and we didn't know how. So my husband waited, with camera ready, to see how she did it.
Here is a picture of her popping her head out of the freezer and climbing out. What a little stinker! She wasn't in the freezer for long at all. Once she heard my husband and I talking about it, she ran into the kitchen, hopped up on the table, opened the freezer, and waited there like this until she heard him come in. Then she quickly lowered the lid and surprised him when he opened it up. It's a good thing Lil Pig doesn't know about PETA.

Lil Pig is Still Here
Lil Pig has been getting on my case lately about how I've been so bad about updating her blog. She insisted I take this picture of her waving hello so that everyone knew she was still alive and well and still having adventures. She wants me to tell everyone how sorry I am that I have been neglecting my duties to update her blog and share her adventures with everyone. I think she's turning into a little diva if you ask me, but in all honesty I have not updated her blog in a while, so I guess I deserve her comments. So, hello everyone! We are back on track now! Keep an eye out for more posts coming soon!!
