Lil Pig Chats With a Friend

I've been chatting with my family over Skype recently, and it has been really fun to see and talk to everyone that I'm not able to talk to on the phone a lot. Lil Pig has seen us chatting with my family and told us that she wanted to have a video chat with one of her friends that she hasn't seen in a while. We told her that would be ok and got the call all set up for her. Today was the day she got to talk to her friend Rufus. She woke me up really early this morning asking me if it was time for the call. I told her the video call was at 2:30 in the afternoon, not 2:30 in the morning! I put her back into bed and went back to sleep. It sure was hard for her to fall asleep. She was so excited.

We woke up, ate breakfast, did our chores, and got ready for the call. Finally, at 2:30pm we got her set up for a video chat with Rufus. She had a great conversation with him. I kept hearing them laugh and Lil Pig just kept talking and talking. I had to tell her she only had about five minutes left, so they started to say good-bye. Lil Pig had a great time talking to Rufus, and she can't wait to talk to him again. Here is a picture of them in the video call.

She is such a cute Lil Pig!

Lil Pig Rides the Merry-Go-Round

For Christmas my husband made me a circle of wood that spins around. It's called a Lazy Susan. I can use it for all sorts of things like playing a game of Sorry!, using it to hold the salt and pepper shaker, and using it for paiting some wood crafts. It has many uses and when I first opened it up I was very excited. So was Lil Pig because she thought it was a merry-go-round for her. I walked into the living room the other day and caught her playing on it. She was spinning around and around really fast and trying really hard not to fall off. It looked like she was having a lot of fun so I let her play on it for a little bit.

After spinning around on it a couple of times she got really dizzy and had to sit down for a while. It was funny!

Lil Pig Loves Peanut Butter

Lil Pig is back!! She took an extended vacation, but is now ready to share more of her adventures!

Recently we learned that Lil Pig LOVES peanut butter. For Christmas my husband got a one pound Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. It's actually two half pound peanut butter cups in one package. Lil Pig just kept asking if she could taste it. She didn't want to eat it all, she just wanted a taste. So one night we opened it up and cut it into slices like a little pie and we gave her a piece.

It looks like a little piece of pie for her. See the peanut butter cup in the background?
We still thought it might be too much for her. She insisted it wouldn't be. She told us we could weigh her before she ate it, and then afterwards to prove it wouldn't be too much. So we did.

She weighs 4.2 ounces before she ate the peanut butter cup.

We each ate our piece of peanut butter cup and enjoyed it. It was really tasty. Have you ever had a peanut butter cup? Do you like them? We sure do. We started to clean up but then we got a phone call and went into the other room. We were only gone for a few minutes and when we got back this is what we found.
It's all gone! She ate it!
Lil Pig had eaten the entire peanut butter cup! It was all gone! She ate the whole thing! She told me that her tummy didn't feel so good and she couldn't move. I was so shocked. We decided to weigh her and see just how much she weighed now that she ate the whole thing.

Now she weighs 1 pound and 1 ounce.

Lil Pig was being a little piggy! She wasn't too happy that we made her get on the scale, and in the picture she looks kind of sick. We put her right to bed after that and gave her a good talking to about eating too many sweets. She sure does love peanut butter and chocolate, but I think she won't eat so much of it next time!
